We love people who play team sports! That is because Wendy's sponsors over 8,000 community amateur athletes in our area. In addition to supporting the Youth Soccer Associations in each community, Wendy's also sponsor sport camps in Vernon, hockey organizations through our rink board advertising and season ticket purchases and the Kelowna Minor Football's flag football league.

Wendy’s Restaurants has been a proud sponsor of youth athletics since 1989. During this time we have had several players (and parents of players) work for Wendy’s. Recently, a couple of coaches have asked about jobs for their players. So, in an effort to communicate to all that are interested, the following should help clarify working for Wendy’s. 

• Job interviews are scheduled every Sunday morning from 9 to 10am.
• A manager is scheduled at that time to interview each applicant.
• Wendy’s likes to hire people with an athletic background because they work well in a team environment.
• Because of this, we have a “flexible schedule” program, which allows employees after they are fully trained, to have a say in their own work schedule. This allows youth soccer players to have a job and play soccer.
• If you are a Wendy’s employee, you receive 50% off your food ordered from the Super Value Menu regardless if you work that day or not.
• Wendy’s staff have a monthly “profit sharing” program.
• Wendy’s hires people from the age 14 and up.
• If the restaurant industry interests you as a career, Wendy’s almost always hires from within.
• We have a benefits program for all full-time employees.
