It’s the social interaction!

• Many of our hosts work because they desire more social interaction – and Wendy’s provides it.
• While working in our dining rooms, hosts meet a wide range of people from our own neighborhoods and around the world!
• Do you remember TV show “Cheers” – the neighborhood pub where “everybody knew your name”? That’s how the regulars will make you feel every day.
• Some of the hosts take on almost a “grandparent” role to the youth who work here. “They keep me feeling young” is a quote we’ve heard more than a few times from our hosts.

It’s the activity!

• Many of our hosts are retired or semi retired. Most are empty nesters.
• It’s satisfying to be productive and contribute to a team who strive to deliver the best for Wendy’s customers.
• Our hosts take pleasure in a strong sense of ownership and pride as they make “their” dining room a comfortable, clean, welcoming place for Wendy’s customers to enjoy their meal.

Work the schedule that suits you best.

• Some hosts play golf every Wednesday morning or delight in their grand children after school. We even have “snow birds” who rejoin us every spring.
• Our host typically don’t work too early or too late. We do our best to accommodate your requests.
• We post schedules on a regular basis in advance so you can plan.

Oh, there’s MONEY!

• Most of the hosts in our company aren’t motivated primarily by money.
• Many work to support their golf habit, earn money for vacations or to spoil their grandchildren.
• Others like to work to provide the financial cushion that their savings or pensions may not provide.
• Wendy’s offers very competitive wages, profit sharing and other ways to earn money (like submitting top suggestions).

Yummy food.

• Who doesn’t enjoy a meal out? Your food is half price, any time!
• Some restaurants limit their staff menus, or when staff can use their discount (only a short time before or after your shifts). We don’t.
• So, if it’s a large chili and baked potato you want or a chicken strip combo, the price is always 50% off for you!

Training designed just for you.

• Our hosts typically bring a world of knowledge with them so their training can be very straight forward.
• It’s all a question of laying out expectations and communicating.

It’s your turf.

• As a host, the dining room is your territory.
• Our hosts work on their own during their shift but within a team of hosts whose goal it is to create a safe, clean, inviting dining room and to make our guest free welcome.
• There’s lots of variety, with a wide range of tasks to keep you on the go.
